About Fix My Speaker
Fix My Speaker was established to provide smartphone, wearable, and audio device owners with an open-access, browser-native acoustic maintenance tool based on sound-wave physics.
Our Mission
Every year, millions of electronic devices are prematurely discarded or sent for expensive repairs due to muffled speakers following accidental liquid exposure or fine dust ingress. Our goal is to offer a transparent, zero-cost, privacy-first diagnostic and cleaning utility that anyone can access in seconds.
Acoustic Testing Methodology
Our tone sequences were not chosen at random. Micro-speakers found in contemporary smartphones feature an internal resonance envelope between 160 Hz and 175 Hz. We bench-tested various waveforms using calibrated decibel (dB SPL) and frequency response equipment:
- Calibrated Excursion: Generating a pure 165Hz sine wave creates the maximum physical displacement of the speaker cone with low harmonic distortion.
- Pulsed Burst Technology: A continuous tone tends to hold water droplets suspended against the mesh; pulsing (1000ms ON / 300ms OFF) lets droplets eject away on the release cycle.
- Hardware Safety Thresholds: Output gain is normalized so that output volume does not exceed safe thermal wattage limits (<85 dB SPL) of miniature coils.
Editorial & Review Policy
All emergency procedures, hardware first-aid guides, and troubleshooting advice on this platform are reviewed against manufacturer repair documentation (including Apple Support, Samsung Care, and iFixit guidelines) to ensure users are protected against harmful myths like raw rice immersion or heat guns.
